David & Dani, with baby Emma, Allie, me & Don, Brittany & Patrick
My highest calling is to be the best wife and mother. After 30 years of marriage and raising three children, I have learned--sometimes the hard way--I must trust the Lord for their physical, spiritual, and emotional growth. By the grace of God, today, our son is a pilot in the US Air Force. He and his wife currently live in Montana where he is stationed. Our daughter, Allie is a Registered Nurse at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, and our youngest and her husband welcomed their daughter, our first grandchild, into the world in November. My husband Don and I are so proud and enjoy sharing our dream beach home with each of them.
Choose Laurie Ann
as your postpartum doula
You will be served by someone who is passionate about babies, birth, and mothering. My goal is to support moms in their motherhood journey by holding their hands and hearing their hearts; without passing judgment or insisting on set philosophies. As your postpartum doula, I will serve the mom and their families after their baby's arrival to offer techniques and training in order to transition smoothly through the fourth trimester. I will coach and mentor you with best practices for: breastfeeding
using infant equipment
basic baby care
helping with siblings
But my main responsibility is to mother the mother!
Contact me and together we can develop a plan to help you reach your mothering goals.
